Communications & Media Internship
Program Overview:
The Communications & Media Internship Program at Mt. Zion Baptist Church is designed to provide college students with hands-on experience in communications, media production, and community engagement within a church setting. Interns will support the church’s mission by enhancing its outreach, promoting events, and engaging with the congregation and broader community through various media channels.

Internship Details:
- Duration: Semester-based (Fall/Spring) or Summer (3 months)
- Hours: Minimum of 10 hours per week (flexible scheduling available)
- Location: Mt. Zion Baptist Church
- Compensation: Unpaid, with opportunities for college credit and professional development
Key Responsibilities:
1. Content Creation:

Develop engaging content for social media platforms (Instagram & TikTok).

Assist in writing and designing newsletters and bulletins.

Create promotional materials for upcoming events (flyers, posters, etc.).
2. Social Media Management:

Schedule and post regular updates on church social media accounts.

Monitor and engage with followers, responding to comments and messages.

Analyze social media metrics to improve engagement
3. Tech Assistance

Provide friendly and efficient assistance to users at the church

Assist older adults in navigating technology by providing one-on-one guidance for Mt. Zion related tasks such as filling out online forms, connecting email, and using apps

Updating website as needed
4. Video Production

Creating video announcements (less than 3 minutes)

Overseeing video production to promote events
